Disconnecting Objects

To disconnect objects in the Inspector

• Select the object, choose Tools > Inspector, select Connections from the pop-up menu at the top of the Inspector, select the connection, and click Disconnect.

To disconnect objects in the outline mode:

1. In the outline mode of the Instances display of the nib file window, click one of the triangle buttons to the right of the object

   Click the right-pointing triangle to see connections into this object. Click the left-pointing triangle to see connections from this object.

2. Control-click the connection line for the connection you want to delete

   As you hold down the Control key, the cursor turns into a scissors. If it doesn't, make sure the cursor is in the column that contains the connections' names and icons. If you Control-click on the left side of the column, the click begins a connection operation.
